Health in the spotlight at annual meeting

The Annual General Meeting of Bury’s health commissioner will take place next month at Bury Town Hall.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of NHS Bury Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will take place on Wednesday 28th September 2016, in the main hall of Bury Town Hall’s Elizabethan Suite.

The meeting itself will commence at 6pm, however, members of the public are invited to attend from 5.30pm where CCG staff and partners will host an exhibition highlighting their work and priorities for the future.

Light refreshments will be available, and the exhibition area will also be available after the AGM closes, from 7pm until 7.30pm.

The AGM will give the CCG the opportunity to talk about its achievements and challenges during its last year of operation (2015/16).  This will include service developments and improvements which got underway, efforts to work more efficiently, financial facts and figures and future plans and priorities for health and health services in Bury.

Copies of the Annual Report for the year will be available at the meeting.

Dr. Kiran Patel, Chair and Clinical Lead for NHS Bury CCG said:
"The AGM is our opportunity to sum up activities and progress made during the last year, as well as talking about our plans for the future.

"We feel we have made some good progress during the last year, but there is obviously more to do and there are lots of developments planned moving forward.  This is an opportunity for local people to learn more about our work and to get involved."

For people who can’t come on the day, the meeting can be followed live on Twitter @NHSBuryCCG

Anyone wishing to attend the AGM is asked to confirm their attendance for refreshment purposes by contacting the Communications Team via email at or by calling 0161 762 3106.
