Dr. Kiran Patel, Chair and Clinical Lead for NHS Bury CCG said:
“These meetings (Governing Body) provide a great opportunity for healthcare professionals and members of the public alike to gain a greater understanding of the role the CCG plays in ensuring local services are responsive, efficient and offer good value for money.
“It’s a chance to come along to and find out more about the CCG and get closer to the decision making process. After all, the decisions made at such meetings directly affect local people, as we plan and purchase healthcare services on their behalf. Similarly, for commissioners, it’s an opportunity to hear first-hand about patient experience, be that through a Patient Story or through questions posed in advance of the meeting.”

Those unable to attend the meeting in person can follow proceedings online, live on Twitter, at @NHSBuryCCG.
