Summer issue of Health Matters now available

A healthy summer newsletter is now available online.

Health Matters is NHS Bury Clinical Commissioning Group’s (CCG) quarterly public e-newsletter.  It updates local people about the work of the CCG and how it aims to make a difference to health and care locally.  Health Matters also explains how readers can get involved in the work of the CCG, to shape the way that services in Bury are planned and delivered.

NHS Bury CCG is the commissioning organisation for Bury and its job is to plan and purchase a range of health services for local people.

The summer edition of Health Matters includes: top tips to keep well this summer, whether it’s staying safe in the sun, cooking outdoors or treating bites and stings; introducing an up and coming campaign called Be self care aware, which will be launching next month; a reminder about some key resources including the Healthy Minds service; a feature on a new Facebook page to promote GP access 7 days a week and GP services available online; some good news about how our local GP practices are improving services for local patients together with key diary dates.

Dr. Kiran Patel, Chair and Clinical Lead of NHS Bury CCG, said: "Health Matters is just one way we are reaching out to our local communities to keep people informed about our work and to give them the opportunity to get involved and make a difference.  The summer issue of Health Matters includes some good news, updates, useful advice and links to key resources.  We welcome feedback on Health Matters to ensure it meets peoples’ needs, and hope people enjoy reading it.”

Health Matters is available online and people can sign up to receive each edition by e-mail directly to their inbox.  Subscribe to Health Matters here. Read the summer issue - click here.
