Get involved with the local NHS

NHS Bury Clinical Commissioning Group’s (CCG) next Governing Body meeting is taking place on the 26th February and members of the public are invited to attend.

The monthly Governing Body (or Board) meetings are where discussions and decisions take place about official CCG business and the planning and funding of local health services.

Public questions relating to items being discussed at the meetings are welcome to be submitted in advance, a downloadable question form is available on the CCG’s website ( under ‘Your local NHS, Boardroom’ then ‘rules of the Governing Body’), or a paper copy can be obtained by contacting the CCG (0161 762 3072 or by email ).

The next meeting takes place on Wednesday 26th February, from 3pm until 5pm, at Townside Primary Care Centre at Knowsley Place in Bury.

At this meeting, discussions will include those around CCG finances; the quality and safety of the services commissioned by the CCG and the performance and risk report.  There will also be a patient story, which is a new feature at the start of each Board meeting.

Dr. Kiran Patel, Chair and Clinical Lead for NHS Bury CCG said: “We are committed to bringing about improvements to health and health services in Bury.  We warmly welcome local people to come along to our monthly Board meetings to find out more about the CCG and our role, and get closer to the decision making process behind the local health services that we plan and purchase on their behalf.”

Local people unable to come to the meeting can follow discussions and decisions live as they happen on Twitter @NHSBuryCCG

The agenda and papers for the meeting will be available on the ‘Your local NHS, Boardroom’ section of the CCG website in advance of the meeting.
