Health staff’s charity bake sale gets competitive!

Health staff from Bury have been busy baking a fabulous array of cakes, muffins and much more, all in a good cause.

Staff from NHS Bury Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) held a Macmillan world’s biggest coffee morning last week.  The Coffee morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event and staff from NHS Bury CCG raised £78 for the charity.

The CCG’s ‘star bakers’ did not let the side down, in fact the coffee morning turned into more of a ‘bake off’ with a competitive streak emerging to bake the most impressive looking, and tasting, cake!

Sharon Martin, Head of Commissioning from NHS Bury CCG said: “It’s great that the team put aside their own time and money for such a good cause.  There was a real buzz in the office and it gave the team a chance to come together over a brew and a slice of cake whilst doing their bit to make a real difference.”
